I’m Angle Of Attack, AOA for short! I got my name from the aviation industry, in which the “angle of attack” is determined by a bunch of formulas and math that is way outside of my realm of comprehension. I just thought the terminology was cool!

I started my derby career as a junior for the Rocky Mountain Roller Punks at the ripe age of 11 and skated until I aged out of juniors at 18. I took a break from then until I turned 23. After 5 long years, I am back to doing what I love and enjoying every minute with BCRD!

I’m a shooting star leaping through the sky like a tiger. Defying the laws of gravity, I’m a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva. I’m gonna go, go, go, there’s no stopping me. I’m burnin’ through the sky, yeah. 200 degrees, that’s why they call me Freddie Mercury Poisoning. I’m having such a good time, I’m having a ball.

I started playing roller derby in 2019 and joined Boulder County Roller derby in February of 2020. I’m so lucky to skate with and learn from my incredible teammates at Boulder.

I tend to be an introvert 90% of the time. I’m an actor scaring people at the Terror In the Corn haunted house (Shameless Plug). I play roller derby and D&D as a hobby

My number comes from my love for the radio station, KVCU- radio1190. Always and forever the AM revolution. It warms my heart when people say, ‘11-90’ when announcing my number.

I am Rodeo. I got my derby name from my love of cowboy style. Years ago I took a shot at actually trying to bull ride. It was a blast but not really a good fit. I came to roller derby at a quiet and lonely time in my life. I needed adventure and a challenge. It was no easy go. I had to start fresh on quad skates. Like bull riding, I fell but got on again. I have been at it 10yrs. I skated first in Alaska and took my skates anywhere my travels go. Something about the crazy and hard hitting derby world just keeps me coming back to the track. Back in Alaska I was a bonafide state researcher of wild salmon. I lived among caribou and bears. Fording the wild cold rivers and making my own yearly journey upriver. After too many tangles with grizzlies and the occasional wolf it was time for change. I found myself in the even colder land of 10000 lakes. It was a place well spent for shaping my derby adventure. Life and some virus came with great force. I finally journeyed back home to the rocky mountains. Now I push correspondences and handle many a parcel. I am hard working and dedicated soul. The mountains called and my journey continues. Live Bold Bleed Gold!
