I’ve wanted to join derby for years, I decided to make the plunge and buy all the gear back in March of 2020. Then BAM, covid hit and that pushed it back until September 2022 when I joined BCRD. And I’m so grateful I did and get to associate with this amazing group of humans. ❤️
Off the track I love to go camping, do water activities during the summer, get my hands dirty with paint or other projects, collect squishmallows, and movie nights.

High Peak Howlers
Slim Reaper
I moved to Boulder from Chicago in 2016. Struggled to find “my people” the first few years until my neighbor, the fabulous Leslie Nope #000, cued me into the magical world of roller derby. I joined the team in 2019 and have learned all kinds of cool things like 1) how to fall down, 2) how to pick myself back up, 3) how to love myself, and 4) how to step waaaaay out of my comfort zone. As an added bonus, I’ve gained an entire crew of strong, intelligent, kind, generous, motivating, and really freaking funny friends.
Off the track, I spend my time raising 2 little humans, including my badass daughter, Abby Normal #628, who plays on our Juniors team. I also work as a nurse in the Emergency Room…I’m the first person you see after saying “hold my beer.”
Mox Nix
Moxie learned to derby after the age of 50, so you can do this too!
Boocifer (Boo)
My nearest and dearest call me Boo and so can you! I’m brand new to Derby and love learning this empowering sport from my talented teammates. Deceivingly dense hits 🙂
Off the track, I keep moving with trail running, snowboarding, climbing, hiking stupid distances, and vacuuming up dog hair.
Misstress Tarable
I’m not a very funny clown, but I try.
Brüzer von Hammerstein
I started skating with the Appalachian Hell Betties (now Athens Ohio Roller Derby) in 2013 and moved to Colorado in 2021, joining BCRD. I have loved every minute of it!
