Hello! I started derby to make myself a happier human and mission accomplished! All of my teammates are so inspiring and I love that I am pushed to do all the hard things!

Red Scare
Hailing from all the places, Red Scare (or just Scare) found roller derby after a decade of playing competitive golf so she wouldn’t have existential crises each day after work. She joined the Atlanta Roller Derby Rec League in early 2019 not knowing how the frick to skate. Somehow she passed assessments and in 2020 joined ARD as a bouter on the Toxic Shocks home team, playing as both a blocker and a jammer (but definitely liked jamming more despite its pain).
In late 2022 she found herself at Boulder County Roller Derby on the High Peak Howlers home team and immediately fell in love with the whole league. She started practicing primarily as a jammer and is extremely thankful for all the support and mentorship she has gotten as a transfer. Moving across the country is difficult, but the BCRD community welcomed her with open arms and has become home.
Scare’s name nods to her motherland of Russia and her number to where she grew up. When Scare isn’t skating on the track, she enjoys skiing, paddleboarding, tennis, hiking with her dog and partner, listening to music, traveling, and, on occasion, golfing.
The Man in Black
I skate around in circles yelling at the people I love.
Moose Def-initely
I started skating in 2012 with North Star Roller Derby. I was a jammer for the Minnesota Roller Derby All-Stars from 2016-2022 and briefly with Denver Roller Derby in 2022. Please don’t make me block.
